One of my aunts brought me to Evergreen for a visit before my senior year. Immediately, I knew this was the place… The campus just felt good, and right. I saw people and thought: I feel like I could be around these people.
I’ve always wanted to make a difference, and I think that Evergreen’s given me the opportunity to do that in a way that is fulfilling, and that is going to give me the opportunity to have a place in the world later in life.
I took an art and biology class my first quarter at Evergreen. We learned about the biochemical pathways related to vision, and we took the things we learned from biology and turned them into art pieces. It was really amazing.
